Travel
Apparently I've been to Colorado, but I only know this because my mom showed me pictures (I was 2). After that, the earliest travels I remember are to Long Island where my grandpa lived and to NYC, where my aunt lives. Yearly trips through the city to the beach were always something I looked forward to. After that, my family decided to have biennial beach trips to Nagshead, NC, another recurring trip I always looked forward to. In my childhood, I also went to LA (Disney Land and my grandma) and Orlando (Disney World). (Pic 1)

When I was 12, my grandparents took me to the Grand Canyon, which is one of the first trips I can remember most of. We walked through Antelope Canyon, took a boat on Lake Powell, felt the "spirits" in Sedona, felt the heat in Phoenix, and fell in love with Arizona! (Hence why I'm moving there post-grad.) (Pic 2)

My international travels started with a trip to England through my church, which still makes me laugh seeing as I barely went to church. Me, 5 other 16 year olds, and two parents flew into London before spending most of our trip in Leeds. We tried new foods, had afternoon tea, swam in the Northern Sea in Whitby, saw the Bronte Sisters' house, and got into plenty of trouble along the way. This was the trip that really sparked my desire to experience more of the world. (Pic 3)

Fast forward to 2023 when the travel bans were lifted post-Covid, my family decided to go on a Mediterranean cruise with my grandma while she could still travel. We hit the coasts of France, Italy, and Spain, and it was absolutely amazing. I ate so much good food and took in a lot of amazing history. It's impossible to choose but some of my favorites were Barcelona, Ibiza, Rome, and Marseilles. (Pic 4)
Most recently, I did a three week marketing study abroad in Greece and Turkey! That experience topped everything so far. Not only did I get to go to beautiful places like Bodrum and Symi, but I learned so much about the local businesses. We went to hotels and learned about the hospitality industry in Turkey. We met the mayor of an island in Greece! I learned about the cultural differences and similarities of marketing in the area, even down to how venders sell at the local market. The nightlife was also amazing, and we had such cool experiences eating, dancing, and meeting people from all around the world. (Pic 5 & Video)
